What makes veridive different from regular YouTube search?
YouTube search points you to videos ranked largely by popularity. veridive reads inside the videos, gives you a written answer, and cites the exact second each point comes from — so you get the answer, not a playlist to scrub through. See how veridive ranks results.
How is veridive different from NotebookLM or Perplexity?
Perplexity is an answer engine for the open web (text). veridive is the answer engine for the spoken web (video and audio). Versus NotebookLM, DeepContext adds exact-second citations, live search, channel/playlist bulk import (~1,000 videos), in-app YouTube search, and your own transcriptions.
Can I search inside one specific creator's videos?
Yes — type @ in the chat box to pick a channel from over a million mapped, and veridive searches only their videos. It's on every plan, including Free. See channel search.
Can veridive transcribe my own audio or video?
Yes. Upload a file under Transcribe / STT and veridive transcribes it into your Library — searchable and citable. It's very cheap (about $0.22 to transcribe an hour at Default quality).
Are the answers accurate? Can I trust them?
Every claim is cited and the timestamp is copied from the real source — never invented. veridive faithfully finds and attributes what was said; it's still smart to spot-check a citation when something matters, which takes one click.
Do I need to add videos before I can ask something?
Not for DeepQuery — it searches YouTube live. You only build a Library when you want DeepContext to answer from your own trusted sources.
What file types and platforms are supported?
YouTube, web links, documents (PDF, Office, CSV, TXT), other video platforms (Vimeo, X, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook), and your own audio/video for transcription. Full list in Supported sources.
What are credits and will I run out?
Credits meter your actions. You get daily and monthly credits with your plan, plus optional never-expiring top-ups. Light questions cost little; deep research, big imports and long transcriptions cost more. See How credits work.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. Free includes full feature access with daily and monthly credit limits — no card required. Upgrade only when you want more volume or power. See Plans.
When is DeepWatch available?
DeepWatch launches in July 2026 and is exclusive to the Max plan.
Can I use veridive inside ChatGPT or other AI tools?
On Premium and Max you can connect veridive via MCP, bringing its cited spoken-web answers into AI tools that support it. There's also a free Chrome extension for summarizing videos as you watch.
