ZTE nubia Air: How to Perform a Hard Reset via Recovery Mode

Preparing for the Hard Reset

• ⚠️ Important warnings are highlighted: a hard reset will permanently delete all data including apps, contacts, photos, and local files unless backed up.
• 🔐 If a Google account is signed in, you will need to verify your account (FRP) after the reset to complete setup, otherwise the phone may become unusable.

Steps to Hard Reset the ZTE nubia Air

• 🔌 First, turn off the device completely.
• ✊ To enter Recovery Mode, simultaneously hold the Power and Volume Up buttons until the screen appears, then release.
• ⬆️ Use the volume buttons to navigate the recovery menu.
• 🗑️ Select "wipe data / factory reset" and confirm with the Power button.
• ✅ Confirm the factory data reset action again.

Completing the Reset and Setup

• 🔄 Once the data wipe is complete, "Reboot system now" will be selected by default. Press the Power button to confirm.
• ⏳ The device will reboot and the reset process will finish, which may take about a minute.
• ⚙️ After the reset, you will be presented with the Android setup screen, where Google account verification (FRP) may be required.
