Road Closure and Solo Journey

• ⚠️ The road to Thandiani Top was closed 5 KM before the destination due to heavy snowfall and ice, forcing the traveler to park their car near Kund Forest Checkpost.
• 🚶‍♂️ Despite the slippery conditions where other vehicles were stuck, the decision was made to walk the remaining 5 KM to Thandiani Top.
• ❄️ The journey began on a sunny day but with extremely slippery and hard-packed snow on the roads, making even walking difficult.

Trekking Through Winter Wonderland

• 🏔️ The 5 KM trek offered beautiful snowy vistas, with snow covering everything, though the road had recently reopened for 4x4s or chained vehicles.
• 🌬️ Despite the cold, the uphill climb caused heavy breathing and sweating, leading to the removal of a jacket, muffler, and cap.
• 🚶‍♀️ The traveler experienced a unique sense of peace and solitude, as no other hikers or trekkers were encountered on the snowy path.

Thandiani's Winter Landscape

• 💧 A refreshing stop was made at a natural spring near the entrance of Thandiani, providing sweet, cold water.
• 🏘️ Upon reaching Thandiani bazaar, only a few hotels were open, and the area was deserted, contrasting sharply with its crowded summer appearance.
• 🚧 The roads to Thandiani, especially in winter, are narrow and lack safety measures like guard rails or warning signs, unlike more developed hill stations.

Reaching the Summit

• 📡 Continuing past the bazaar, the traveler reached Thandiani Top, home to a Pakistan Television (PTV) signal booster station.
• ☁️ The summit offered stunning views of clouds and deep snow, often knee-deep, highlighting the harsh winter conditions for local residents.
• ☕ A welcome break was taken at a small tea stall, where hot pakoras and special milk tea were enjoyed amidst the snowy landscape.

Memorable Winter Adventure

• ⏳ After spending three to four hours exploring Thandiani Top, the traveler began the return walk to their parked car.
• 💖 The challenging yet rewarding journey concluded with a return to Abbottabad, filled with beautiful winter memories.
