Testimony of a Robb Elementary Teacher

• 📞 Around 11:20 AM, Gonzalez texted her to unlock the west end gate for grocery delivery, a gate that was typically always locked.

The Car Crash and Initial Warning

• 💥 While waiting for Gonzalez at the unlocked gate, Muddy witnessed a vehicle crash into a ditch on Grove Street, near Geraldine Street.
• 🏃‍♀️ She ran back inside to get her phone, propped the classroom door with a rock, and then ran back outside to call 911, reporting the crash.
• 🚨 While running towards the crash site to help, she saw two men from a funeral home running towards it, then turn back, yelling that the person had a gun.

Shooter Sighting and Campus Entry

• ⏳ She spent approximately 40-45 minutes in her classroom, hiding under a counter, listening to continuous gunshots.
• 😨 She described the intense fear, the feeling of impending death, and even contemplated how she might confront the shooter if he entered her room.

Cross-Examination and Door Security

• 🔑 During cross-examination, it was clarified that Muddy had only been at the school for a month and had a key, but used a rock to prop the door for convenience.
• 🚪 It was later revealed that the west side door she had unlocked was, in fact, not locked, a fact she learned about a year later, and this was not attributed to her fault.
