UMIDIGI G5 Tab: How to Enable, Set Up, and Secure Your Portable Hotspot

Accessing and Adding the Hotspot Toggle

• 👆 Swipe down from the top of your UMIDIGI G5 Tab screen to access the quick settings toggles.
• ✏️ If the hotspot toggle is not visible, tap the pencil icon to edit the toggles.
• 📌 Locate the hotspot toggle, drag it to your preferred position in the quick settings panel, and then tap 'Done' or go back.

Configuring Hotspot Settings

• ⚙️ To access hotspot settings, long-press the hotspot toggle.
• 🔑 It is recommended to change the randomly generated password for security. The new password must be at least eight characters long.
• ✅ Tap 'OK' after setting your new password.

Managing the Portable Hotspot

• 📶 To turn the hotspot on, simply tap the hotspot toggle in the quick settings.
• ⚠️ Enabling the hotspot will automatically turn off your Wi-Fi because the device uses the same antennas for both functions.
• 🔌 To turn off the hotspot, tap the toggle again. This will also automatically re-enable your Wi-Fi connection.
