TxDOT and NTTA Begin Winter Road Treatments Ahead of Weekend Ice and Snow

Scope and Strategy

• 🗺️ The extensive operation covers more than 6,000 lane miles within the TxDOT district.
• ⏳ Crews will be conducting these treatments for several days in advance of the storm.
• ⏱️ Applying brine early is intended to provide an "edge" once initial ice begins to form.
