• ⚠️ Hatchets, hammers, knitting needles, and rolling pins are among the items that must be placed in checked bags and cannot be carried onto an airplane.
• ⚡ Other prohibited items include red flares, meat thermometer barbecue forks, souvenir bats (Yankees or Mets), pink tasers, and pepper spray.
• 🎁 Wrapped presents and snow globes are also subject to restrictions, with the latter being prohibited due to their liquid content.

Real ID Requirements

• 📌 Approximately 5% of travelers have not yet obtained a Real ID.
• 💰 A new $45 charge has been introduced by the TSA to verify identity, which will be confirmed starting February 1st.
• ⏳ Travelers are advised to allow at least an extra half hour for identity verification when flying.
