TRC R32 GT-R Dyno Session

First Impressions and Dyno Guesses

• 🤯 The presenter experienced a sequential gearbox and the R32 GT-R for the first time, describing the acceleration as "insane" and faster than anything they'd felt before.
• 🎯 Initial horsepower guesses for the first pull ranged from 1106 to 1127 HP, with the tuner Ben guessing 1127 HP.
• 📈 The first pull, at 30 PSI and conservative timing, achieved 1126 HP, matching the previous chassis dyno result.

Power Escalation and Final Numbers

• 🔥 With increased boost and timing, the GT-R's power climbed steadily, reaching 1139.9 HP at 30 PSI.
• ⚡ Further increases to 35 PSI resulted in 1184 HP, and at 40 PSI, the car hit 1250 HP.
• 📈 The session concluded with a final pull at 40-45 PSI, achieving 1312 HP and over 900 ft-lbs of torque, though the run was slightly cut short due to potential fuel system limitations.

Post-Dyno and Future Plans

• 🏁 The team decided to head to the track rather than push the dyno further, with Ben setting up the two-step for track use.
• ⚠️ Upon returning to the shop, issues were discovered, including a detached MAP sensor vacuum line causing rich conditions and voltage/fuel pressure drops at higher boost levels.
• 🔧 Future episodes will focus on sorting out these issues, completing engine bay cosmetic upgrades (catch can, charge pipe), and finally getting the car out for street hits and track testing.
