SUV Rescued After Road Collapse in Northwest Houston

• 🚗 An 84-year-old woman was leaving a CVS pharmacy when her SUV suddenly became stuck in a large hole that opened in the pavement.
• 💥 The incident occurred off Hardway and Antoine in Northwest Houston shortly after 2:00 PM.
• 🔊 The driver reported hearing a sound like hitting something before her vehicle stopped and she realized she couldn't move.

Rescue and Aftermath

• 🆘 Several nearby drivers assisted in rescuing the woman from her vehicle before it could fall further into the collapse.
• ✅ Fortunately, the driver was unharmed and is reported to be okay.
• 🛠️ Crews from Houston Public Works were on the scene, digging out debris and pumping water from the deep sinkhole.
• 🚚 Although the SUV did not appear to have significant external damage, it was taken to a repair shop for a safety check and was not allowed to be driven home.
