Storm Development and Timing

• ⛈️ An upper-level low-pressure system will bring instability and create conditions for strong storms, mainly in the afternoon and evening hours.
• 📈 Rain chances will increase later today, and more significantly on Monday and Tuesday as the center of the upper-level low crosses the South Florida Peninsula.
• 🌊 The sea breeze is expected to keep most storms away from the east coast populated areas, but a line of fire is possible around 6:00 PM.

Tropical Activity Update

• 🌀 Tropical Depression Two is in the southwestern Gulf of Mexico and may become Tropical Storm Barry later today, making landfall in eastern Mexico.
• ⚠️ This system poses no threat to South Florida and could be the second named storm of the season.
