Samsung S25: How to Power Off Using the Power Button

Changing the Side Button Function

• 💡 By default, pressing and holding the power button on the Samsung S25 activates a shortcut, not the power off menu.
• ⚙️ To change this, navigate to Settings and then Advanced Features.
• 👆 Within Advanced Features, select Side Button and change the long press function from its default to the Power Off Menu.

Powering Off Your Device

• ✅ Once the setting is changed, a long press of the power button will now bring up the power off menu, allowing you to turn off your phone.

Alternative Power Off Method

• ⏳ If you prefer to keep the default shortcut, you can still power off the phone by pressing and holding the power button for approximately 10 seconds.
• ⚠️ This alternative method is noted as being similar to a process used for performing a hard reset and may require connecting to a PC for consistent results.
