Introduction to Surah Al-Hijr

Divine Creation and Signs

• 🌌 God created celestial constellations and adorned them for observers, protecting them from every accursed devil.
• 🌱 The Earth was spread out, firm mountains were placed, and everything was grown in balanced measure, providing sustenance for humanity.
• 💧 God sends fertilizing winds and rain from the sky, providing water and sustaining life, and He is the ultimate inheritor of all.

Creation of Adam and Iblis's Rebellion

• 👤 Humanity was created from sounding clay, from altered black mud, while the jinn were created from smokeless fire.
• 😈 God commanded the angels to prostrate to Adam after his creation, but Iblis refused, claiming superiority due to his fiery origin.
• ⚖️ As a result of his disobedience, Iblis was expelled from Paradise and cursed until the Day of Judgment.

Rewards for the Righteous and Punishment for Transgressors

• 🏞️ The righteous will reside in gardens with springs, free from resentment, sitting on couches facing each other, experiencing no toil or expulsion.
• 🔥 Hell is the promised destination for all transgressors, with seven gates, each assigned a portion of them.
• ⚖️ God is both the Forgiving, the Merciful and the Painful Punisher, reminding humanity of both His mercy and His justice.

Prophets Abraham and Lot

• 😇 Angels visited Prophet Abraham with the good news of a knowledgeable son, despite his old age, and informed him of their mission to a sinful people.
• 🏘️ The angels were sent to destroy the people of Lot, saving Lot and his family, except for his wife who was destined to remain behind.
• 🌪️ Lot's people were overtaken by a shriek at sunrise, and their city was turned upside down, rained upon with stones of baked clay.

Consequences of Rejecting Prophets

• 🏛️ The people of Al-Hijr (Thamud) also rejected messengers, carving secure homes in the mountains, but were seized by a shriek in the morning.
• 🌳 Similarly, the people of Aika (Midian) were oppressors, and God took vengeance upon them, serving as clear examples.
• ⏳ God created the heavens and earth with truth and purpose, and the Hour of Judgment is surely coming.

The Quran and Divine Command

• 📖 God has given the Prophet seven oft-repeated verses (Al-Fatiha) and the magnificent Quran.
• 🗣️ The Prophet is commanded to proclaim openly what he has been ordered and to turn away from the polytheists.
• 🙏 He is instructed to glorify his Lord with praise and be among those who prostrate, serving God until certainty (death) comes.
