PCH & Topanga Canyon Boulevard Reopen After Palisades Fire Closure

Road Reopening Details

• 🛣️ Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) and Topanga Canyon Boulevard have reopened to the public after being closed due to the Palisades Fire.
• ⚠️ The reopening occurred on Friday morning, ahead of schedule and before Memorial Day weekend.

Driving Guidelines and Restrictions

• 🚗 Drivers should expect delays as the area remains an active work zone.
• 🚦 The speed limit has been reduced to 25 miles per hour.
• 🚫 Stopping or parking in the work zones is not allowed and will result in citations.
• 🚧 Construction and debris removal will continue in the affected areas.

Burn Zone Access and Checkpoints

• 📍 Officials are urging people to stay away from neighborhoods in the burn zone.
• 👮 There will be 16 checkpoints to prevent non-residents from entering the area, an increase from the previous 5.
• 🚗 The 11-mile stretch of PCH closed between Temescal Canyon Road and Carbon Beach Terrace is now open with 2 lanes in either direction.
• 👷 Thousands of workers were involved in the cleanup and reopening efforts.
