OPPO Find X8: How to Backup WhatsApp Chats to Google Account

Accessing WhatsApp Backup Settings

• 📱 Open WhatsApp on your OPPO Find X8.
• ⚙️ Tap the three dots in the top right corner and navigate to Settings.
• 💬 Select Chats, then Chat Backup to access backup options.

Configuring Your Google Account Backup

• ☁️ Under 'Google Account', verify the currently logged-in profile where the backup will be stored.
• 🔑 Remember to use the same Google account to restore your chats on another device or after reinstalling the app.
• ➕ You can add another Google account or create a new one if needed.

Setting Up Automatic Backups and Options

• 🔄 By default, automatic backups are set to 'Off'. You can choose Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or Only when I tap backup.
• 🎬 Enable the 'Include videos' option to back up video files along with your chats.
• 🔒 For enhanced security, turn on 'End-to-end encrypted backup' and create a unique password. Do not forget this password, as it's essential for restoring encrypted backups.

Initiating and Verifying the Backup

• ▶️ Tap the green 'Backup' button to start the backup process.
• ⏳ The time taken depends on the number of messages and media files being backed up.
• ✅ After the backup, you can see the last backup time and its size above the backup button.
