• 🚴‍♀️ In Queens, Vernon Boulevard was transformed into a car-free zone, allowing residents like Kaden Kazo to bike with friends.
• 🤝 Black Girls Do Bike was highlighted for encouraging bike ridership among women of color, with older women reportedly out-biking younger generations.
• 🚑 Free services, including stretching and wellness activities, were available at rest stops, aiming to provide access to those who might not typically receive such services.

Staten Island and Broader Program Details

• 🚗 The Summer Streets program also opened Forest Avenue on Staten Island between Elizabeth Street and Bard Avenue.
• 🎭 Participants can enjoy live performances and various other activities throughout the event.
• 🛹 For those interested in wheeled activities, Ghost Sports offered lessons, encouraging people to try something different from their daily routines.

Expanded Manhattan Route and Schedule

• 🌉 A new, longest-ever route spans 22 miles overall, including a new route covering the entire length of Manhattan from the Brooklyn Bridge to Inwood, starting next Saturday.
• 🗓️ Summer Streets will run for five consecutive Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. through August 23rd.
