Shifting Severe Weather Threat

• ⚠️ The severe weather threat has moved east, primarily impacting Texarkana, Longview, and Tyler.
• 🚫 Tornado watches have been lifted for areas like Kaufman County, though some watches remain for Ellis and Hill Counties until 8:00 PM.

Metroplex Weather Conditions

• 💧 While most of Denton County is dry, spotty showers and some rain persist in the Dallas-Tarrant County area, including Arlington and Irving.
• 📉 The intensity and widespread nature of the rain in the metroplex have decreased significantly.

Heavy Rain South of the Metroplex

• 🌧️ The heaviest rain is currently located southeast of the metroplex, affecting areas from Canton and Athens to Corsicana and Hillsboro.
• 🚚 This heavy rain band is shifting southward, away from the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.

Flood Watch Status

• 📉 Flood watches are beginning to be cancelled in parts of Oklahoma and are starting to lift for some North Texas counties.
• ⏳ However, a significant flood watch remains in effect for a large portion of North Texas through Thursday morning.

Eastern Texas Severe Weather

• ⚡ The leading edge of the severe weather is currently located from Maha up to Tyler and Linden, with impacts felt in areas like Corsicana and Athens.
