Fire at Newport Beachside Hotel and Resort

• 🔥 A massive fire occurred yesterday around 2 pm at the Newport Beachside Hotel and Resort in Sunny Isles Beach.
• 🏗️ The fire reportedly started on the top floors of the hotel side, which was undergoing renovation and construction.
• ⚠️ A garbage chute attached to the side of the hotel is believed to have somehow caught on fire.

Immediate Aftermath and Resident Impact

• evacuations were short-lived, with residents allowed back into their units after the all-clear was given.
• 🚫 Fortunately, there were no injuries reported as a result of the fire.

Current Resort Status

• 🧼 Cleanup efforts are currently underway at the resort.
• 🏨 The hotel side of the resort is not accepting new reservations for the remainder of the week.
• 🏊‍♀️ While the hotel side is impacted, the interior of the resort, including the swimming pool and poolside bar, appears to be fully operational and open to residents.
• 🚧 A second pool on the property remains off-limits due to an ongoing renovation project.
