Ezra Reads the Law

• 📖 In Nehemiah chapter 8, Ezra the teacher of the law is asked to bring out the book of Moses' law.
• 🗣️ Ezra reads the law aloud from daybreak till noon before the assembly of men, women, and children who could understand.
• 🤝 The Levites, including Jeshua, Bani, and others, helped instruct the people by making the law clear and giving its meaning.
• 😭 The people wept as they listened to the words of the law, realizing they had not been following it.

A Holy Day of Joy

• 🚫 Nehemiah, Ezra, and the Levites told the people not to mourn or weep, but to celebrate because this day is holy to the Lord.
