Meet Baxter: A Goofy and Lovable Dog

• 🐶 Baxter is a beautiful, shiny black dog with floppy ears and a signature tongue-out grin, known as a little goofball at the shelter.
• 🎾 He is a sweet, active, and curious boy who loves his squeaky toys all day long and is learning his commands.
• 🚶 Baxter is good on a leash, though he pulls a little, and is eager to find a loving home.

SPCA of Texas 'Home for the Holidays' Event

• 🗓️ The SPCA of Texas is hosting its 35th annual 'Home for the Holidays' adoption event at North Park Center from November 28th to December 23rd.
• 🏠 The event features a 'Bark and Build' competition where architects design pet condos and houses, and an adoption pavilion outside Dillards.
• ⏰ Animals will be available for adoption from noon to 6:00 PM daily, with cats and kittens available on Sundays and Mondays.

Special Adoption Programs

• 💖 The 'Longtime Lovables' program offers free adoptions for shelter pets who have been in the shelter for 60 days or more.
• 👴🏼 Similarly, senior pets (age six and older) are also available for free adoption.
• 🤝 Families are encouraged to visit the adoption pavilion, spend time in the play yard, and get to know the animals to find their perfect forever friend.
