Tragic Loss of a Promising Athlete

• 💔 Kenneth “Trae” Leaks III, a recent graduate of Manvel High School, was tragically killed just days after his graduation.

Circumstances of the Shooting

• 📍 Houston police report that Trae was in a car at an apartment complex on North Brazwood, waiting to meet someone for a transaction.
• 🔫 Several men approached the car, and shots were fired, fatally hitting Trae.
• 👥 Witnesses indicated the victim was meeting an individual for a transaction, during which one suspect allegedly produced a gun and fired.

Suspect and Other Victim

• ⚖️ 18-year-old Zion Mitchell has been charged with the murder of Kenneth Leaks III.
• ⚠️ Another individual, a 17-year-old boy, was also injured in the shooting but thankfully survived.
