Understanding Lung Qi Deficiency

Symptoms of Lung Qi Deficiency

• 💧 Patients may experience spontaneous sweating, wind intolerance, and susceptibility to exogenous illnesses.

Exploring Lung Yin Deficiency

• 🔥 Lung Yin Deficiency is characterized by endogenous heat arising from a lack of nourishing and moistening aspects (yin) in the lungs.
• 🦠 This condition can be induced by chronic cough, damage during late stages of heat illnesses, or injury from a tuberculosis agent.
• ⚠️ When lung yin is deficient, the lung loses its nourishment, leading to deficiency fire and impaired dispersion and depuration functions.

Manifestations of Lung Yin Deficiency

• 🗣️ The cough in lung yin deficiency is typically unproductive of sputum or produces scant, viscid, or blood-streaked sputum.
• 🥵 Other signs include a dry throat with a hoarse voice, flushing of the cheeks, and recurrent fever with night sweats.
• 🖐️ Patients often report hotness in the five centers, and the tongue is red with little coating, accompanied by a threadlike and wrapping pulse.

Wind Cold Binding Lung Syndrome

• 🤧 Symptoms include a cough productive of thin white sputum, clear nasal discharge, and chills with mild fever without sweating.
• 🤕 Patients may also experience headache and body aches, with a thin and white tongue coating and a floating and tight pulse.
