Understanding Ledger Passphrases

• 💡 A passphrase acts as an additional word (like a 25th word) to your standard recovery phrase, generating entirely different private keys and thus a new, separate wallet.
• 🔑 This allows you to create multiple wallets from a single recovery phrase, with some wallets secured by a passphrase and others not.
• ⚠️ Passphrases are case-sensitive, space-sensitive, and can include numbers and special symbols.

Temporary vs. Permanent Passphrases

• ⏱️ A temporary passphrase grants access to a sub-wallet only until the device is locked; upon relocking, it reverts to the wallet without a passphrase.
• 🔒 A permanent passphrase is attached to a new PIN. Entering this specific PIN upon unlocking the device will always access the wallet secured by the passphrase.

Setting Up a Passphrase on Ledger Flex

• ⚙️ Navigate to Settings > Advanced > Set Passphrase on your Ledger Flex device.
• 📌 You can choose to set a temporary passphrase or attach a permanent one to a new PIN.

Critical Security Considerations
