Jesus's Public Ministry Begins

Rejection in Nazareth

• 🗣️ Jesus's declaration of his messianic identity is met with amazement, but quickly turns to anger when he points out that prophets are often rejected in their hometowns, referencing Elijah and Elisha's ministries to Gentiles.
• ⚠️ The townspeople, furious, attempt to throw Jesus off a cliff, but he miraculously walks through the crowd unharmed, demonstrating an inherent authority.

Authority Over Demons and Sickness

• 🎤 In Capernaum, Jesus teaches with authority, astonishing the people.
• 😈 He encounters a man possessed by an evil spirit, sternly commands it to come out, and the demon obeys, astonishing onlookers who recognize Jesus's power.

The Mission to Other Towns
