iPhone XR: How to Use Slow Motion and Time Lapse Camera Features

Accessing Slow Motion and Time Lapse Modes

• 📸 Open the Camera app on your iPhone XR.
• ➡️ Scroll through the modes on the left side to find Slow Motion and Time Lapse.

Recording in Slow Motion

• ⏱️ Select the Slow Motion mode.
• ⚙️ On the right edge, you can adjust the frames per second (FPS), with options for 120 FPS or 240 FPS.
• 💡 The resolution is fixed at HD, and you can enable or disable the flashlight.
• 🎬 Ensure good surrounding lighting before tapping the red record button.
• 🎞️ After recording, the video will be saved and can be viewed in the gallery, where it will appear significantly slowed down.

Creating Time Lapse Videos

• ⏳ Switch to the Time Lapse mode.
• ⏺️ Tap the red button to start recording.
• ⛰️ For smoother results, it is recommended to use a tripod and keep the phone steady.
• ⏳ Time lapse recordings should ideally be for several minutes to be effective, though shorter recordings are possible.
• 💾 Once recorded, the time lapse video is saved and can be viewed in your gallery, appearing as a sped-up sequence.
