I Made KEVIN DURANT a Custom Travis Scott Fusion

Project Overview & Inspiration

• 💡 Vick Almighty created a custom sneaker fusion for Kevin Durant, blending the Nike KD18 with Travis Scott Jumpman Jack elements.
• 🎯 This project follows a previous custom for KD, a Travis Scott Jordan 1 Nike SB Dunk in his size 17.
• 👟 The KD18 was chosen for its modern design, despite initial consideration of older KD models like the KD4 and KD7.
• ⚠️ Due to KD's size 17 not being available for the KD18, a sample size 9 was made to demonstrate the concept.

Deconstruction & Preparation

• 🛠️ The Travis Scott Jumpman Jack sneakers were deconstructed to extract only the uppers, with the soles being destroyed due to delicate polyurethane.
• 🔬 For the Nike KD18, the goal was to preserve the soles and cage, carefully removing the upper using acetone and steam while protecting the unique midsole material.
• ✅ Old glue was meticulously removed from the midsoles and uppers, avoiding harsh tools like a Dremel on delicate parts.

Customization & Detailing

• ✨ Custom tongues were created, fusing KD branding with the Cactus Jack logo, featuring glow-in-the-dark stitching and custom text.
• 🎨 The straps were customized with "Easy Money Sniper" branding from the KD17, adding a personal touch.
• 🧵 A significant effort involved reapplying decorative stitching to the cage area, a process that took approximately 8 hours to complete.

Assembly & Final Touches

• 🚀 The custom uppers were carefully bonded to the KD18 soles, requiring precise glue application and alignment.
• 📦 The project included customizing the sneaker box, combining elements from the Jumpman Jack and KD18 boxes, including label transfer.
• 👏 The creator expressed immense pride in the unique fusion, hoping Kevin Durant appreciates the design and provides a size 17 for a full-size version.
