HP ProBook 635: Set Up Windows 11 Without a Microsoft Account

Initial Network Disconnection

• 🔌 Do not connect to the network during the initial setup of your HP ProBook 635.
• ⚠️ If already connected, either turn off your router or move away until the laptop disconnects.

Bypassing Microsoft Account Requirement

• 💻 If you were previously connected to the internet, use the Shift + F10 key combination to open the Command Prompt (cmd).
• ⌨️ In the Command Prompt, type OOBE\BYPASSNRO and press Enter to restart the setup.

Windows 11 Setup Process

• 🌍 Select your country or region and press 'Yes'.
• 🖱️ Choose your preferred keyboard layout and click 'OK'. Skip adding a second layout if not needed.
• 🚫 On the network screen, select the 'I don't have internet' option.

Creating a Local Account

• 👤 Enter your desired name for the local user account and press Enter.
• 🔒 You can set a password for your account or skip this step by clicking 'Next'.
• 📊 Review and select your privacy settings, opting out of data collection for diagnostics, tailored experiences, and advertising IDs.
• ✅ The setup will then complete, which is noted as being faster than the usual process.
