HP OmniBook 5 Flip: How to Enable and Configure Portable Hotspot

Accessing the Control Center

• 🖱️ Open the control center on your HP OmniBook 5 Flip by clicking one of the three icons on the taskbar.
• 📶 Ensure you are connected to Wi-Fi or another network before proceeding.
• ➡️ Click the down arrow icon to navigate to the next page within the control center.

Enabling and Configuring the Mobile Hotspot

• ⚡ A quick click on the mobile hotspot icon will enable the portable hotspot, allowing nearby devices to connect.
• ⚙️ To configure settings, right-click the hotspot icon and select 'Go to settings'.
• 🔌 Within settings, you can enable or disable the mobile hotspot using the toggle switch.

Sharing and Power Saving Options

• 🌐 Select the internet source for your hotspot; typically, only Wi-Fi will be available.
• 📡 Choose the sharing method: Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.
• 🔋 Enable power saving to automatically turn off the hotspot after a period of inactivity, or disable it for continuous operation until the laptop sleeps or shuts down.

Customizing Network Properties

• ✏️ Under 'Properties', you can edit the network name (SSID) and the network password.
• 📶 You can also change the network band, selecting either 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz from the available options.
• ✅ After making changes, click Save.
• 📱 A QR code is available for quick connections by other devices.
