How to Use HP OmniBook 5 Flip as a Second Monitor Wirelessly

Setting Up Wireless Display on HP OmniBook

• 📶 Connect both devices to the same Wi-Fi network for optimal performance.
• ⚙️ Navigate to Settings > System > Optional features on your HP OmniBook.
• ➕ Click View features, search for Wireless Display, and click Add to install it.

Enabling Projection Settings

• 🖥️ Go to System > Projecting to this PC on your HP OmniBook.
• 🌐 Set the availability to Available everywhere or Everywhere on secure networks.
• 🔌 Optionally, disable the feature if the PC is not powered on to use it as a monitor.
• 📝 Note the PC name of your HP OmniBook for easy identification.

Connecting from the Source Device

• 💻 On the source PC or laptop, press Windows + K to open the Connect menu, or go to Settings > System > Display > Multiple displays.
• 🔍 Click Connect to a wireless display and wait for your HP OmniBook to appear in the list.
• ✅ Select your HP OmniBook from the list to initiate the connection.

Managing the Projection

• 🆗 Allow the connection on your HP OmniBook by clicking OK next to 'Allow once' or 'Always allow'.
• 🎬 The projection will start, and you can test the video quality, which depends on your internet speed.
• ⏯️ To stop projection, close the window on your HP or select Disconnect from the casting menu on the source device.
• 🔄 You can also change the projection mode to Extend or Second screen only.
