How to Use App Lock on HONOR MagicPad 2 12.3 for App Privacy

Setting Up App Lock

• ⚙️ Begin by navigating to your device's settings on the HONOR MagicPad 2.
• 🔒 Scroll down to find and select Security & Privacy, then tap on Device and Data Protection.
• 🔑 Choose the App Lock option to initiate the setup process.

Configuring Your Lock Method

• 👆 You can choose to lock your apps using your current screen lock or by creating a custom PIN specifically for App Lock.
• 🔢 If selecting a custom PIN, input your desired code and repeat it to confirm.
• ❓ After setting the PIN, you'll be prompted to answer a security question for recovery purposes. You can select a default question, create a custom one, and ensure you provide a correct answer.
• ✅ Once configured, tap Finish to complete the setup.

Locking and Managing Apps

• 🔓 To lock an individual app, locate the gray switcher next to its name in the App Lock settings and toggle it on.
• 💡 When you attempt to open a locked app, you will be prompted to enter your custom PIN or screen lock.
• 🎛️ To disable App Lock for a specific app, return to the App Lock settings, enter your credentials, and toggle the blue switcher off.
• 🚫 You can also manage all App Lock settings, including disabling App Lock completely, by using the dedicated button at the bottom of the App Lock settings screen, requiring your PIN one last time.
