Setting Up Personal Safety Check-in

• 💡 The Personal Safety Check-in feature is a new addition in Android 16, currently available in beta.

Configuring Your Safety Check

• 🎯 When initiating a safety check, you can select a reason for your check-in, such as 'walking alone'.
• ⏳ You can set a duration for how long you expect to be engaged in the activity.
• ⚠️ An option exists to notify contacts immediately when you start a safety check, rather than waiting for the timer to expire.

During and After a Safety Check

• ⏰ Once started, the safety check displays a screen with the remaining duration, the alarm time, and options to stop the check or trigger an emergency call.
• 🚨 If the timer ends without you stopping the check, it can automatically fast forward the time and alert emergency contacts.

Testing the Safety Check Demo

• 🔊 A demo mode is available to simulate how the feature behaves if the timer expires, which can be loud.
• 📍 The demo presents options to call, share your location, or confirm that you are fine.
• ✅ This feature is particularly useful for situations like hiking, going out at night, or any time you might feel unsafe.
