How to Turn Off Motion Smoothing (TruMotion) on LG Smart TVs

Accessing TV Settings

• 💡 To begin disabling motion smoothing, you must first start media playback or connect an external HDMI device.
• 📌 Next, press the gear button on your remote to access the Quick Settings menu.
• ⚙️ From Quick Settings, navigate to and select the gear icon again to open the All Settings menu.

Adjusting Picture Clarity

• 🖼️ Within All Settings, select the Picture tab and choose the picture mode currently in use for your media or output.
• ⚠️ Be aware that if Game Optimizer is enabled, motion smoothing is typically disabled by default and may not be adjustable.
• 🔍 For other picture modes, proceed to Advanced Settings and then navigate to the Clarity section.

Disabling True Motion

• ✨ Scroll down within the Clarity settings until you find the True Motion option.
• ✅ Select True Motion and choose Off to disable the motion smoothing effect.
• 🎬 Once disabled, you can enjoy your media or HDMI device content without the motion smoothing effect.
