How to Set Up Fingerprint and Face Unlock on the VIVO X300

Setting Up Device Unlocking

• ⚙️ Navigate to Settings and then select Security and privacy, followed by Device unlocking.
• 🔒 First, choose a screen lock method. You can select a PIN, pattern, or password, which serves as a backup if fingerprint or face unlock fails.
• 👆 For the PIN, enter your desired code (e.g., 1234) and confirm, acknowledging any warnings about simplicity.

Registering Fingerprint Unlock

• ☝️ Select Fingerprint and enter your PIN to proceed.
• 👆 You can choose to use the fingerprint scanner for unlock or as a privacy password.
• 🖐️ To register, place your finger on the on-screen fingerprint sensor icon and follow the prompts to scan your entire fingerprint.

Enrolling Face Unlock

• 👤 Select Face ID and enter your PIN.
• 🤳 Align your face within the circular frame and then rotate your head to complete a full scan of your face, including the sides.

Testing Unlock Methods

• 📱 After setup, turn off and then on your phone to test the unlock features.
• 💨 The fingerprint scanner (indicated by a circle on the screen) should unlock the device instantly when your registered finger is placed on it.
• 👀 Similarly, pointing the phone at your face should unlock it automatically via Face ID.
