How to Set Up and Customize Your HONOR 400 Portable Hotspot

Accessing and Configuring Hotspot Settings

• 👆 Swipe down from the top right of your screen to access quick toggles. If the hotspot toggle isn't immediately visible, swipe down again to expand the list.
• ⚙️ To access detailed settings, long-press the hotspot toggle. This will take you directly to the hotspot configuration menu.

Customizing Your Hotspot

• 🔑 The default hotspot password is randomly generated and difficult to remember. It's recommended to change the password to something easily memorable, ensuring it's at least eight characters long.
• 📱 You can also customize the hotspot name (SSID) to make it easier to identify among other available networks.

Advanced Hotspot Options

• ⏳ The auto turn-off duration setting conserves battery by disabling the hotspot after a set period of inactivity. Consider increasing this from the default 5 minutes to avoid accidental disconnections.
• 📶 When selecting the AP band, it's generally recommended to use 2.4GHz for broader compatibility with older devices. While 5GHz offers potentially higher speeds, some devices may not be able to detect or connect to it.
• 🔒 Ensure security is enabled with a strong password to prevent unauthorized access to your mobile data.

Enabling and Disabling the Hotspot

• ✅ To enable the portable hotspot, simply tap the hotspot toggle once it's configured to your preferences.
• 💡 Remember that if you set a longer auto turn-off duration, you may need to manually disable the hotspot by tapping the toggle when it's no longer needed.
