How to Send Direct Messages on X (Formerly Twitter) App

Accessing the Messages Section

• 📱 Open the X application on your phone.
• ✉️ In the top right corner, tap the letter icon to access your messages section.

Starting a New Conversation

• ➕ Tap the new message button or the plus sign icon in the bottom right corner.
• 🔍 Search for the person you want to direct message by typing their username.
• 👤 Select the specific person from the list that appears to initiate a chat.

Sending Your Message

• ✍️ Type your message in the chat window.
• ▶️ When ready, tap the send button (represented by a paper airplane icon).
• ✅ You will see a 'sent' status confirmation once the message has been delivered.

Important Messaging Rules

• ⚠️ You can only message people who follow you or who have their direct messages open to everyone.
