How to Send Direct Messages on the X App (Formerly Twitter)

Accessing the Messages Section

• 📌 To begin, open the X application on your phone.
• ➡️ Look for and tap the letter icon located in the bottom right corner of your screen; this is your messages section.

Starting a New Direct Message

• ➕ Tap the new message button, often represented by a plus sign, also found in the bottom right corner.

Selecting a Recipient

• 🔍 Search for the desired person by typing their username.
• 👤 From the list that appears, select the specific person you wish to DM.

Sending Your Message

• 💬 Type your message in the chat window.
• ✈️ Once ready, hit the send button, which typically looks like a paper airplane icon.
• ✅ You will see a confirmation that your message has been sent.

Important DM Requirements

• ⚠️ Remember, you can only direct message people who follow you or have their DMs open to everyone.
