How to Send Direct Messages (DMs) on X Mobile App

Accessing the Messages Section

• 📌 To start, open the X app on your mobile device.
• 🎯 Locate and tap the icon resembling a letter in the bottom right corner of the screen to access your messages.

Initiating a New Direct Message

• 💬 You can either tap the 'write a message' button or the letter icon again.
• 🔍 To find a specific person, start typing their username in the search bar.
• ✅ Select the desired user from the appearing list to open a chat.

Sending Your Message

• ✍️ Type your message into the text box located at the bottom of the chat screen.
• ✈️ Once ready, tap the paper plane icon (send button) to transmit your message.
• 📬 The interface will confirm that your message has been sent.

Important DM Requirements

• ⚠️ Remember that you can only DM users who follow you on X or have their direct messages open to everyone.
