How to Send a Direct Message on X (Twitter) App

Accessing the Messages Section

• 📌 Open the X app on your phone.
• 💬 In the bottom right corner, tap the letter icon to access your messages section.

Starting a New Direct Message

• ➕ Tap the new message button or the icon with a plus sign in the bottom right corner.
• 🔍 Search for the person you want to message by typing their username.

Sending Your Message

• 🎯 Select the specific person from the list that appears to open the chat.
• ✍️ Type your message in the text field.
• ✈️ Hit the send button (paper plane icon) when you are ready.
• ✅ You will see a confirmation that your message has been sent.

Important DM Requirements

• ⚠️ You can only send direct messages to people who follow you on X or who have their DMs open to everyone.
