How to Send a Direct Message (DM) on X (Twitter) App

Accessing the Messages Section

• ✉️ To start, open the X application on your phone.
• 📌 In the bottom right corner, tap the letter icon to access your messages section.

Starting a New Direct Message

• ✍️ Tap the button that says "Write a message" or the icon in the bottom right.
• 🔍 Begin typing the username of the person you wish to DM.
• ✅ Select the correct user from the appearing list to open a chat.

Sending Your Message

• 💬 In the text box provided, type your message.
• ▶️ Once ready, hit the send button, which is represented by a paper plane icon.
• 🚀 You will see a confirmation that your message has been sent.

DM Eligibility on X

• ⚠️ You can only DM people who follow you or who have their DMs open to everyone.
