How to Screen Record on iPhone with iOS 26

Adding Screen Recording to Control Center

• 💡 To record your iPhone screen on iOS 26, first access the Control Center.
• ➕ If the screen recording feature is not visible, tap the plus button in the top right corner.
• 🔍 Locate and select Screen Recording from the list to add it to your Control Center.

Configuring and Starting a Recording

• 🎙️ To enable or disable the microphone for your recording, press and hold the screen recording icon in Control Center.
• 📲 If you wish to broadcast your screen to other applications like Instagram, you can select that option, but for simple recording, ensure the microphone is set as desired.
• ▶️ Tap the screen recording icon to begin recording your iPhone's screen.

Recording Indicators and Stopping

• 🔴 A red area will appear in the top left corner of your screen to indicate an active recording.
• 🏝️ On newer iPhones, the Dynamic Island will also display a recording animation.
• 🛑 To stop the recording, you can either tap the red area in the top left corner or access Control Center again and tap the screen recording icon.

Accessing Saved Recordings

• 🖼️ Your screen recordings are automatically saved to your Photos app.
• 📂 Open the Photos app to find and view your previously recorded screen sessions.
