How to Record Your Screen on HP OmniBook 5 Flip

Accessing the Screen Recorder

• 💡 Windows, Shift, and R is the primary shortcut to launch the screen recording tool on your HP OmniBook 5 Flip.
• 🔑 Alternatively, the F12 key can be used, but may require holding the Fn key if function keys are locked (indicated by a light on the Fn button).
• ⚙️ To unlock function keys for standalone use, press Shift and Fn simultaneously.

Recording Modes and Settings

• 🎬 Before recording, ensure you switch from 'snipping' mode to 'Record' mode.
• 📐 Choose between 'Rectangular recording' to select a custom area or 'Window recording' to capture a specific application window.
• 🎙️ The toolbar allows you to enable or mute the microphone for voiceovers.
• 🔊 You can also mute or unmute system audio to include or exclude sound from applications.

Capturing and Saving Recordings

• ▶️ Click the record icon to start the capture within the selected area.
• ⏸️ Use the pause icon to temporarily stop the recording and the same icon again to resume.
• ⏹️ Click the stop icon to finish and save the recording.
• 🗑️ An option to stop and delete the recording is also available.
• ✂️ After stopping, a preview appears where you can trim the clip using handles.
• 📂 Recordings are automatically saved to the 'Videos\Screen recordings' folder in File Explorer.
