How to Import Contacts from SIM Card to HONOR Magic V5

Accessing the Contacts App

• 📱 To begin importing contacts, open the standalone Contacts application on your HONOR Magic V5.
• 🧭 If you cannot immediately locate the app, it may be necessary to search for it.

Importing Contacts from SIM

• ⚙️ Within the Contacts app, navigate to the Organize tab.
• 🗂️ Select the Manage SIM option to view all contacts stored on your SIM card.
• 👆 By default, all SIM contacts are selected for import; you can deselect any you do not wish to transfer.

Saving Imported Contacts

• ☁️ The device may default to importing contacts to your Google account, which hoovers up data without explicit consent for cloud storage.
• 📲 To change the save location, tap the dropdown menu (if available) and select Device to save contacts locally.
• ✅ Once the import process is complete, a confirmation will indicate how many contacts were imported.

Managing and Viewing Contacts

• ✏️ Imported contacts saved to the device offer more editing options, such as adding photos, multiple numbers, and email addresses, compared to contacts saved directly on the SIM card.
• 🔍 You can view contacts by their storage location: Phone, SIM card, or Google account.
• 🔄 The device consolidates contacts from different sources, displaying a single entry even if a contact exists in multiple locations (e.g., phone and SIM).
