How to Enable/Disable Automatic Software Updates on HUAWEI Pura 80 Pro

Method 1: Using Settings

• 💡 To enable automatic updates, navigate to Settings on your HUAWEI Pura 80 Pro.
• 🎯 Scroll down and select System & updates, then tap on Software update.
• 🔑 Tap the settings icon in the upper right corner.
• 🚀 Ensure Auto download over Wi-Fi is turned on by tapping the switcher.
• 🌙 For automatic installation, enable the Update overnight option; the phone will restart between 2–4 AM if idle.

Method 2: Using Developer Options

• ⚙️ To access advanced settings, go back to Settings and select About phone.
• 👆 Locate Software version and tap it repeatedly until you see a message indicating you are in developer mode.
• 🔒 You may need to enter your screen lock to confirm.
• ➡️ Navigate back to System & updates and select Developer options.
• 🔄 Scroll down and toggle on Automatic system updates.
• ⚠️ This allows the device to apply updates upon restart when available.

Managing Developer Options
