How to Enable, Disable, and Translate Captions in the YouTube App

Enabling and Disabling Captions

• 💡 To enable or disable captions in the YouTube app, look for the captions icon (CC) on the video player.
• ✅ If the CC icon is highlighted, captions are on. If it's transparent, captions are off.
• 🎬 Tapping the CC icon directly will toggle captions on or off during playback.

Accessing Captions Settings

• ⚙️ If the CC icon is missing or you need more options, tap the video player to reveal controls.
• 👆 Then, tap the settings icon (usually a gear) in the top right corner.

Managing Caption Language and Translation

• 🌐 Within the Captions menu, you can disable captions completely.
• 🗣️ You can also select a specific language, such as English (auto-generated).
• 🔄 For automatic translation, choose Auto-translate and select your preferred language.
