How to Enable and Customize Phone Notifications on Garmin Vivoactive 6 with Android

Pairing Your Watch and Phone

• 🔗 Ensure your Garmin Vivoactive 6 is paired with your Android phone using the Garmin Connect application before proceeding.

Granting Notification Access

• 📱 Open the Garmin Connect app, navigate to 'More' > 'Garmin devices', and select your Vivoactive 6.
• ⚙️ If prompted, tap the notification about required permissions to be redirected to your phone's notification access settings.
• ✅ Locate 'Garmin Connect' in the list and enable 'Allow notification access' by tapping the switch.

Customizing Notification Settings

• 🔔 Back in the Garmin Connect app, go to 'Notifications & Alerts' and then 'Smart Notifications'.
• 📞 Customize settings for Calls, Texts, and Apps individually.
• 📳 For each notification type, you can enable/disable it, toggle vibration, and select vibration patterns (e.g., beats, waves).

Privacy and Display Options

• 🔒 Under 'Privacy', choose between 'Restart' (requires button press to reveal content) or 'Gesture' to view obscured notification content.
