How to Create and Remove User Accounts on HP OMEN Transcend 14 (Windows 11)

Accessing Account Settings

• 📌 To manage user accounts, navigate to Settings on your HP OMEN Transcend 14.
• 🔍 Within Settings, select the Accounts section, then find the Other users option.

Creating a New User Account

• 👤 Click on Add account to begin the process.
• 💡 If prompted for a Microsoft account, choose I don't have this person's sign-in information to proceed with a local account.
• ✍️ Enter a name for the new user and set a password for security; leaving these blank creates an account without a password, which is not recommended.
• ❓ Answer security questions truthfully to aid in password recovery if needed.

Managing Existing Accounts

• 🗑️ User accounts can be removed later from the same settings menu.
• ⚙️ You can change the account type to either Administrator or Standard user. It's advised not to set to Administrator unless you fully trust the user.

Logging In and Switching Users

• 💻 To switch users while logged in, click Start, then your profile picture, select the three dots, and choose other user.
• ⏳ The first login for a new account may take longer as it sets up necessary files.
• 🔒 To switch from the lock screen, press Windows + L or use the power icon to lock the screen, then select the desired account.
• 👁️ Features like face recognition can be set up for quicker logins.
