How to Create and Remove User Accounts on a Lenovo ThinkPad X1

Accessing Account Settings

• ⚙️ Begin by opening the Start menu and navigating to Settings.
• 👤 Select the Accounts option, then scroll down to find the Other users section.

Creating New User Accounts

• 🌐 To add a user with a Microsoft account, input their email or phone number and password.
• 💻 For a local user account, click 'Add account without Microsoft account', then name the user and create a password.
• ❓ You will then need to set up security questions and answers to aid in password recovery.

Managing User Accounts

• 🔄 To switch between user accounts, tap the Start menu, click your profile icon, select the three-dot icon, and choose 'Switch user'.
• 🗑️ To remove an account, expand the relevant tab in the settings menu and select 'Remove'.
• ⚠️ Important: Ensure you are signed out of the account you wish to remove, as you cannot remove an account that is currently signed in on the PC.
