How to Create and Remove User Accounts on a GIGABYTE G7 Laptop

Accessing User Account Settings

• ⚙️ To begin, navigate to Settings on your GIGABYTE G7 laptop.
• 👤 Within Settings, locate and select the Accounts section.
• 👥 Under Accounts, find and click on Other users to manage accounts.

Creating a Local User Account

• ➕ Click on Add account to start the process.
• 🚫 Opt for I don't have this person's sign-in information to create a local account.
• 📝 Select Add a user without a Microsoft account.
• 🔑 Enter a username and a password for the new account; omitting the password is not recommended for security.
• ❓ Answer three security questions truthfully to aid in password recovery.
• ✅ Click Next to finalize the account creation.

Managing Existing User Accounts

• 🗑️ To remove an account, locate the Remove button associated with it.
• ⬆️ Click the down arrow next to an account to reveal options, including changing the account type to administrator (use with caution).

Switching Between User Accounts

• 💻 Click the Start button, then click on your current account.
• ➡️ Select the three dots and choose Switch user.
• 🖱️ Alternatively, users can be switched from the bottom left corner on the login screen.

First Login and Privacy Setup

• ⏳ The first login to a new account may take longer as the system sets up necessary files.
• 🔒 During the initial setup, you will be prompted to configure privacy settings.
