- π‘ Open the Messages app on your iPhone.
- π Tap the compose icon (notes with a pen) in the bottom right corner to start a new message.
- π― Add the contacts you wish to include in the group conversation.
Requirements for Group Naming
- β οΈ To enable group naming and advanced features, all participants must be using iMessage (indicated by blue bubbles).
- β οΈ If any participant uses SMS (green bubbles), you will not be able to name the group.
Naming Your Group Chat
- π¬ Once contacts are added and the message is sent, tap at the top of the conversation where the contacts are listed.
- βοΈ Select the info icon.
- βοΈ Tap Change Name and Photo.
- βοΈ Enter your desired group name and then tap Done.
- β The group name will now be set for your conversation.
