How to Create and Generate Bill Invoices in Khatabook App

Getting Started with Khatabook

• 💡 To begin, download and open the Khatabook application from the Play Store.
• ✅ You'll need to verify your mobile number and register, then add your business name.
• ⚙️ Complete your business profile by adding details like your name, mobile number, address, GST number, and business category (e.g., retail, wholesale).

Creating a New Sale Bill

• 🎯 Navigate to the 'Bills' option at the bottom of the app, then select the 'Sell' tab to create a sales bill.
• ➕ Tap on 'Add Bill' to start a new invoice; if it's your first time, you'll see 'First Invoice'.
• 👤 Add a new party (customer) by entering their name and mobile number, then save the customer details.

Adding Items and Details

• 📝 Under the item section, if you haven't added items before, click 'Add New Item'.
• 🏷️ Enter the item name (e.g., Realme phone), its price, and select the unit (e.g., pieces), then save the item.
• 🔢 Adjust the quantity of the item as needed before proceeding.

Finalizing the Invoice

• 💰 You can add additional charges or apply a discount (either in rupees or percentage) to the bill.
• 📊 Optionally, include a GST number and specify the state of supply.
• 💬 Add notes or photos to the invoice if required, and select the payment method (e.g., cash, online, un-paid) and the amount received.

Generating and Sharing the Bill

• 🚀 Click 'Generate Invoice'; you can choose to skip adding a GST number if not needed.
• 📥 Once generated, the bill will display all details, including party name, business address, and items. You can then download the bill or share it via WhatsApp.
• 🔄 The generated bill will be saved in your sales history; the same process applies to creating purchase or expense bills.
