How to Create a Bitwarden Account Using the Desktop App

Creating Your Bitwarden Account

• 🌐 You will need to select your server location, with options like bitw EU or a self-hosted site.
• 📧 Enter your email address in the designated field.

Personal Information and Verification

• 👤 Input your name in the name section.
• 📬 You can choose whether to receive advice, announcements, and research opportunities from Bitwarden; this option is often unchecked by default.
• ✅ Click Continue and then proceed to your email to verify your email address.

Setting Up Your Master Password

• 🔑 Select a strong password for your account and optionally set a password hint.
• 🚀 Once your password and hint are ready, click to create the account.

Logging In to Bitwarden

• 🚪 After account creation, you will be logged in. To log in again, enter your email and master password.
• 🔒 Click Login with the master password to access your Bitwarden vault.
